Switch Setup

Spanning tree protocol causes problems with dhcp in anaconda. Turn it off. This is a known anaconda bug.

Master switch on racks 4,5 & 6 is in Rack 4. This switch has web interface available on port 443 (SSL). CLI can only be accessed from master switch.

Master switch on racks 2 & 3 is in Rack 3. This switch has web interface available on port 443 (SSL).

Switches have latest firmware as of 12/14/07. Backup image is not installed on switches in racks 2 & 3 because it won't fit in the flash memory. Backup firmware on racks 4,5 & 6 is installed, but is version 1.0.x.

Chance has setup trunking between stacks in racks 2,3 and 4,5,6. Details forthcoming...

Unit numbers still need to be changed on the rack 2,3 stack.
